Lessons are $26.00 per 1/2 hour if purchased monthly,

$28.00 if paid weekly.

Payment is due on the first lesson day of the month to qualify for monthly rate.

Unexcused absences are chargeable and occur when we are not notified at least 24 hours before lesson is scheduled.
The TEACHER makes the final determination on all excused absences. Special circumstances can be discussed with teacher.
Our goal is to continue lessons without interruption and concerns over payment.

Teachers are not employees of NMMC, but are renting the studio as a private contractor.
Therefore, by law, we can NOT accept CREDIT CARDS as payments for lessons.

Ron Stahl, Jr. --- Drums
Ron has a Bachelors of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. He was the winner of the Berklee achievement Scholarship. Ron has studied with world renowned percussionists Casey Schurell, Ian Froman, and Victor Mendoza. Ron plays in local Jazz and Blues bands. He specializes in the development of 4 waycoordination with styles from Rock to Jazz to Latin. Ron teaches a wide range of students - kids to adults.
Bill Dorfschmidt - Guitar and Bass
Bill has been teaching over 15 years. He studied under Dave Overthrow. Bill is very good with young beginners. Using music as a confidence builder is a theme behind Bill's teaching style. He develops the lesson to simplify the songs and exercises to meet the student's needs, making it fun and exciting to learn. Bill also teaches beginner adult students. each adult can progress at a speed that makes them comfortable and confident that they can enjoy playing for themselves or others. Bill plays in exZAKKed band, the only offical BLACK LABEL SOCIETY tribute band in the country.
Shrdlu Ashe --- Harmonica, Guitar, Violin ( Fiddle )
Shrdlu has played for over 28 years. He currently plays at local coffee shops, the Fair, New Years, the Farmers Market, and Church.Chromatic harmonica is one of his specialties. Steve Clark -- Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn
Steve is a graduate of Western CT State University. He teaches Band, Vocal team, and 5th Grade at CLA in Brookfield. Steve has performed in area Churches, the Charles Ives Center, Tuxedo Junction and other area clubs. His unique teaching style combines moderate theory and practical application that builds confidence and instrumental prowess. You will not be bored taking lessons with Steve.
   Natalia Kolenciak - Piano
Natalia holds a Masters in Piano Teaching and Performance of Fine Arts from Moscow State Institute of the Arts. She taught in Russia at the State College of Fine Arts and two Music schools in Russia.She has been teaching for 13 years and now teaches in the Danbury area.She has performed in various concerts as soloist and chamber member. She teaches the Classical method with theory and grammar.
 

Mark Atkinson - Drums
 Mark has been a drummer for over 40 years, and firmly believes in having ALL student levels working on the drum set ASAP to develop the independent coordination needed for this instrument.  By offering both “match-grip” and “traditional” stick techniques, students evolve to play any type of music they want.  Reading ability, solid time-keeping, and listening skills are exercised in rock, jazz, funk and other genres.  Mark has studied with Dave Weckl and Clark Eno, and has played with outstanding bassist, Dave Overthrow. Mark has performed rock originals, done studio work and played in “Cover” bands.

 

Hank Milligan - Piano, Guitar, Harmonica

Hank has a Bachelors of Music from DePaul University and is the general music teacher     (K-8 ) St. Joseph School in Brookfield. His vast musical resume includes countless club dates, cruise ships, and concerts. He enjoys teaching all students in any musical style. Hank is also a magician.   Bill Shute - Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar
Bill gives instruction in finger and flat picking folk styles, blues and ragtime guitar, jazz and popular styles, classical, clawhammer, and bluegrass banjo. He teaches theory,reading, and composition. Bill has taught in many colleges and schools in the New England area. He was a columnist and editor for Guitar Workshop and Sheet Music Magazine.He has done several recordings, CDs, theater, and television spots.
  Pete Bennett - Guitar, Bass
He's been teaching so long, he doesn't want to say. He's as good if not better the the rest of our teachers, but doesn't want to brag. He does all levels and all styles of guitar and bass, but you need to try him tofind out just how good a teacher he is!
  Bob Gereg - Piano, Accordion
Bob has been teaching piano since 1952. He is a certified Accordion teacher. He is a professional musician, performing both combo and solo gigs.Bob's teaching style is relaxed and patient, with little or no pressure put on the student.
  Donna Scozzafava - Piano
Donna is a graduate of Western CT State University with a major in Piano and a MS in Music Education. She has taught general music in the New Fairfield and Danbury School systems. Currently a member of the Music Teachers' National Association. Donna has taught piano privately for over 25 years.
   
   
  Jil Rinne - Violin/Viola
Jil is the first chair violist in the New Milford High School orchestra. She has been playing for 7 years and has participated in the Northern Region Musical Festival twice. She has also played in various music workshops and is currently studying with Katherine Dorn.
  Scott Chamberland - Sax/Clarinet/Flute
Scott began playing at the age of 10. He won several awards in the school band. He has been teaching and performing for over 30 years. He has worked with several well known musicians, including, Taylor Dayne, Michael Bolton, Jeff Berlin, Randy Becker, and others. Lessons with Scott are intense, but fun. He works with the student so they enjoy practice. In addition to the basics, Scott specialty is improvisation.
